This renovation transforms an unfinished attic into a bright, livable second-story retreat through the strategic addition of a dormer. The intervention creates a full-height main space with vaulted ceilings and exposed structural elements, accommodating a new open-plan living area framed by expansive windows that invite natural light to pour in. By reclaiming previously underutilized square footage and introducing abundant daylight, the new space offers both functionality and a calm sense of retreat — making it feel as though it had always been part of the original home.
